Shaun N.
ABSC recognizes Shaun N. as our Employee Spotlight. Due to his strong leadership skills and internal drive, he has succeeded in career advancement at the National Ground Intelligence Center, NGIC.
In 2005 Shaun N. joined the infantry of the United States Marine Corps (USMC) as an assaultman. In 2008 he deployed to western Iraq in Al Anbar Province. Upon a safe return, Shaun joined ABSC in May of 2009 working at the National Ground Intelligence Center in Charlottesville, VA.
Shaun began his career at ABSC s a data input analyst for WTI/NGIC IED Database and was quickly elevated to the AFG Team Lead to the NGIC IED Database Project. This promotion was based on his strong leadership skills, ability to identify and fix data problems quickly and his tenacity and personal drive to ensure that his team was well trained. His information was used for IED and TTP analysis to assist troops conducting operations in Afghanistan. This information has also assisted policy makers (Up to the Secretary of Defense) in their decision making process.
After one year of database management, Shaun received another promotion to work in the IED and Munitions Branch at NGIC as an Afghanistan IED TTP analyst. As an Analyst, Shaun answers Request For Information (RFI) regarding IED TTPs, components, and explosives. He also gives pre-deployment briefs to unit leadership, policy makers, and other IC agencies about the IED problem set in Afghanistan. Shaun assists testing programs with up-to-date IED and TTP information to ensure protection and assistance to the forward deployed troops.
